A windshield repair is typically about 10% or less of the cost of a new windshield. If you carry comprehensive coverage, your insurance company may even waive your deductible.
When it comes to service... We come to you! SuperGlass Panhandle offers mobile service to your home or business whether you are in Fort Walton, Destin, Niceville, or anywhere in between.
The windshield has become a safety feature of your vehicle, and the bond between the glass and the steel body ensures its proper performance. The factory seal is difficult to duplicate in outdoor conditions. Windshield repair allows you to keep the original seal intact.
Nobody wants a car or truck with damaged glass - it just looks bad! It also can reduce the value of your vehicle when selling. Repairing your rock damage will restore the windshield to its original beauty, while retaining the vehicle’s safety!
Auto glass repair only takes about 20 minutes, and your vehicle is ready to drive right away. No need to drop your car and pick it up later, or wait in an auto glass shop waiting room. We'll come right to you and you can drive the car immediately after the windshield repair is completed.
With a refractive index of 1.51, SuperGlass repairs will eliminate distracting discoloration and restore your safe driving vision. That's guaranteed, or there is no charge!
Most windshields are not recycled and end up in our landfills, which are 10 to 12 percent glass. Also, the manufacturing process for one new windshield creates about 50 pounds of carbon emissions and uses close to 1,500,000 BTU's of energy.
When a small crack or chip appears on a windshield, it's important to address it as soon as possible. Repairing it right away can prevent it from spreading, which may require replacing your entire windshield.
If you're thinking about repairing a cracked or chipped windshield using a DIY windshield repair kit, you may want to read this first. While these kits may seem like an affordable and easy way to fix minor auto glass damage, attempting to repair a windshield on your own can lead to more problems down the road. There are three major factors that are missing with a do-it-yourself windshield repair kit that will result in wasted time, wasted money, and a poor repair or replaced windshield. They are:
1. Proper curing. The sun offers an ultraviolet strength of less than 10% of a professional UV curing lamp. The slow and weak cure of the sun is not effective as the glass will go through so many temperature changes, expansion and contraction, and vibration during that cure period.
2. Proper access to the damage for the bonding resin. Many damages, especially "stars" with multiple legs, will require access through drilling or probing into the impact point. Without proper access each leg may not properly fill all the way to the end. If any part of the damage is left unrepaired, the entire damage is deemed unrepaired.
3. Training. Professional Windshield Repairers are well trained, many for up to two weeks. They understand the flexibility of the glass and how to properly fill the damage and evacuate the air without breaking the glass, while minimizing or eliminating unsightly blemishes.
Two other factors that play an important part in a quality repair are equipment and resin. Since most do-it-yourself repair kits cost under $15, their manufacturing cost is limited to about $3 or $4. For that, you get an imported toy, not a quality repair tool. Professional repair resin is designed to match the optical refractive index of the glass and expand and contract at the same rate as the glass. A professional repairer will generally have a variety of resins to call on, depending on the type of damage and/or the ambient temperature and humidity. SuperGlass Windshield Repair technicians don't get paid unless they save your windshield to your 100% satisfaction. They will employ every tool and technique to ensure a proper and safe repair for your vehicle.
